Training to use Greenlit’s tools and resources is occurring currently through industry events advertised through the guilds. Watch out in industry newsletters and on the news and events page for upcoming training and workshops.
A great place to start though is here in the quick start guide where you can familiarise yourself with the process.
For assistance with the Greenlit carbon calculator, check the extensive help desk setup to support queries in the portal.
At this stage there are no formal training programs in Aotearoa to become a sustainability manager. Training is done on the job, through interning or assisting an experienced sustainability manager on a large production.
If you are interested in this profession there are a few ways you can put yourself forward for one of these roles. If you are on a professional crew database, you can put yourself forward for sustainability assistant or bin wrangler roles. Alternatively you can email Greenlit and advise us of your interest (provide us with a CV and details of previous film and sustainability experience). You will be added to our database which is available to experienced sustainability managers.
